David II (1329-1371), First coinage, Second issue, Sterling, mm. cross pattée, bust left with sceptre, smaller lettering, pellet after david, clear sceptre-handle, rev. rex sco tto rvm, long cross, four mullets of six points in angles, medium-sized lettering, 1.06g/7h (Savage 4/ah Burns Bust 3/Dakers Reverse 3; SCBI 332-3, same obv. die; B 8, fig. 234, same obv, die; S 5088). Very fine with old cabinet toning £150-£200
