L.I.) the QSA polished and worn, this fine; the BWMs both very fine and better (2) £120-£160

Ernest Morcom Watkin (also recorded as Watkins) was born in Eastbourne ands attested there for the King’s Own Yorkshire Light Infantry. He served with the 1st Battalion during the Great War on the Western Front from 15 January 1915, and was killed in action five weeks later on 20 February 1915. He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, Belgium.
