Edward Draper Darricotte, a Cadet Sergeant with the Liverpool College School Contingent O.T.C., was commissioned into Royal Signals in July 1934. Resigning his commission on 7 October 1938 he was recalled for service during the Second War and commissioned into the Border Regiment on 7 September 1939, before transferring into his old regiment on 1 May 1942, with whom he saw later service in South East Asia. Advanced Captain, he resigned his commission on 27 February 1948.
John Chaplin Herbert attested into the Royal Signals and served during the Second War. Advanced Sergeant, he was commissioned on 1 November 1940 and was taken prisoner on 28 April 1941 during the defence of Kalamata, Greece, spending the remainder of the War in captivity in Germany. Advanced acting Captain, post War he received an emergency commission into his old regiment and served in Malaya during the Emergency.
W. J. O. Ettridge was commissioned into the Royal Signals and served in Malaya during the Emergency. He later served at Station Controller of British Forces Broadcasting Service Singapore.
