British and Irish Banknotes

Bank of England, Kenneth O. Peppiatt, £5 (2), 16 September 1944, consecutive serial numbers E13 072417-18, purple hand stamps and black bank stamps on reverse, one note showing exceptionally minor rust traces, otherwise totally original paper with strong embossing, no full folds, only bends and handling marks at upper right of both notes, thus about uncirculated, a lovely consecutive pair and a very early date for type (2 notes)
