A mid 19th century forget-me-not turquoise ring, the cluster of four forget-me-not flowerheads set with turquoise cabochon petals around rose-cut diamond centres, to a wirework shank, mounted in gold, ring size J. £300-£400
This ring is illustrated in Rings 1800-1910, a study of English and related designs, by Verlaine Davies, pub. Write Designs, 2009, p.34.
The turquoise remain generally bright but with a little variation in colour - one is replaced with blue glass. Diamonds present and correct. Mount shows general wear. Weight 2.5gm.
