Anton Graff (1736 - 1813) was a leading portrait painter in Germany, and court painter to the Elector of Saxony from 1766. This image is after his famous portrait of Frederick the Great of 1781, regarded as Graff’s masterpiece, with contemporaries applauding the accuracy of his depiction of the King.

According to a PMI test on the XRF Analyzer, the ring is testing between 9ct-13ct gold.
