A mid 20th century Sri Lankan sapphire ring, the cushion-cut sapphire within a reeded mount, to plain polished hoop, stamped ‘750’, sapphire weight approximately 4.20 carats, ring size P.

According to a verbal report from GCS the sapphire is of Sri Lankan origin with no indication of treatment. Verbal report number 5786-2321.

Sapphire with uneven saturation and zoning, reflective surface reaching inclusion / fissure, a couple of other small surface reaching inclusions but overall good transparency. Uneven cut - culet not centred. Facets and girdle rubbed and with small chips / abrasions. Mount with light wear, resized as evident in photo.
