A sapphire and diamond cluster ring, 1980, the circular-cut sapphire within a surround of old brilliant-cut diamonds, between trifurcated shoulders, mounted in 18ct gold, Birmingham hallmark, total diamond weight approximately 0.70 carat, ring size M.

Formerly the property of the Walton-Wilson family of Shotley Hall, Northumberland.
According to a verbal report from The Gem & Pearl Laboratory, the sapphire is of Basaltic origin, with no evidence of treatment.
