Royal interest: A Queen Alexandra Royal Presentation stickpin, the blue and white enamelled interlaced double-A cypher beneath the Imperial state crown, mounted in gold, in gilt tooled case by Collingwood & Co., with gilt cypher to cover, length 6.7cm. £400-£600
By family repute, this stickpin was presented to Thomas Edward Goodman - a Royal footman to King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra, serving for 20 years between 1899-1919. His supervisor Colonel Sir Arthur Davidson was Equerry to Edward VII and later Queen Alexandra, and was part of the Marlborough House Set, the social circle surrounding Edward VII.
Enamel in good condition, except tiny area of loss on the crown surmount.
Case a little scuffed to exterior, and general wear/staining to the interior lining.
