A pair of rare Malay gold filigree crescent-shaped panels, Sumatra, 18th century / early 19th century, possibly adapted to ear pendants, decorated with fine ‘wispy’ gold work, edged with delicate hoopwork borders with tassel fringe below, with detached gold fittings, width approximately 8cm.

A dark/reddish stain to inner edge of one crescents.
Some areas where filigree sections appear detached, but this does not look like damage, and is probably part of the construction of the filigree work.
Some tassels missing.
According to a PMI test on the XRF Analyzer the gold is testing as 19ct, the hoop attachments are testing as 15ct.
Weight 25.1gm.
