A mid 20th century Burmese sapphire and diamond brooch / pendant, set with a cut-cornered sapphire within an openwork surround of poignée design, set throughout with old brilliant and single-cut diamonds, suspending a fringe of old brilliant-cut diamonds, to a detachable fancy-link chain with diamond cluster terminals, total diamond weight approximately 4.50 carats, brooch length 5.2cm, chain length 44.5cm.
