Place BidEarly Anglo-Saxon Period, Sceatta, Primary series BI, type 27b, double-diademed head right, face upturned towards small annulet in field, torso breaking inner circle, traces of pseudo-legend around, rev. bird right on cross, annulets in angles, pellets an end of horizontal cross ends, all within anticlockwise beaded ouroboros, 1.17g/9h (SCBI Abramson 51; Abramson 16-10; N 126; S 777). A little surface granularity, otherwise very fine, a rare variety £150-£200
