British Iron Age, DUROTRIGES, Uninscribed issues, a contemporary fourrée Stater, Badbury Rings type, devolved head of Apollo comprising wreath, cloak and crescents, rev. disjointed horse left, rectangular head, body of crescents, four vertical legs, twelve pellets above, three sloping lines for tail with pellets between lines, pellet below, coffee bean motif behind and pellet in ring motifs around, 4.86g/2h (cf. ABC 2163; cf. BMC 2647, 2661, 2728-31; cf. VA 1246-1; S –). Most plating remaining, good fine £50-£70
