Place BidCharles I (1625-1649), Tower mint, Shilling, Gp B [type 1b2], second bust, mm. heart, elongated bust, reads ma br and hi, plume above shield, 5.70g/9h (Sharp B5/2; SCBI Brooker 437, same dies [= Oddie, BNS Blog 26 Feb. 2023, O3/R3]; N 2220; S 2785). Fine and toned, rare; the reverse die was previously used for pieces of ‘fine work’ £150-£200
