Charles I (1625-1649), Tower mint, Shilling, Gp C [type 2b], third bust, mm. feathers, bust in plain armour, reads mag brit fr and hib, plume above shield, 5.98g/9h (Sharp C2/4; SCBI Brooker 455, same dies; N 2222; S 2788). A piece of fine work; very fine, obverse better and retaining some mint bloom, toned, very rare £1,500-£2,000
