Place BidCharles I (1625-1649), Tower mint, Shilling, Gp G/Briot’s Second Hammered issue mule [North Gp F, type 4.4], sixth bust, mm. triangle (over anchor [flukes to right] on rev.), double-arched crown, reads mag bri fra and hi, 6.07g/7h (Sharp G1/Briot; Holt/Hulett/Lyall, BNJ 2014, G1/4; SCBI Brooker 540, this coin; N 2231 and p.168; S 2862C). Scratched on the King’s face and a little double-striking on reverse, otherwise about very fine and toned, very rare £600-£800
