Merlen, bust right, georgius iv dei gratia and date within inner circle, rev. britanniarum rex fid def, rose, thistle and shamrock spray within inner circle, crowned square-topped shield, Garter below, edge grained, 5.67g/6h (ESC 2415). Cleaned in the past with some hairlines and marks on the King’s face, otherwise extremely fine and excessively rare; perhaps only 4 known with this edge £2,000-£3,000
