Fus.) surname spelt ‘Peate’ on this medal; British War and Victory Medals (7439 Pte., Lan. J. Peat was taken prisoner of war at Boschbult on 31 March 1902 and subsequently released, whilst serving with the 1st Battalion, Lancashire Fusiliers, attached 28th Mounted Infantry.
