A pair of brilliant-cut diamond ear studs by Graff are likely to prove a highlight in Noonans Mayfair’s summer sale of Jewellery, Watches, Silver and Objects of Vertu to be held on Tuesday, June 11, 2024. Weighing 1.63 and 1.7 carats, both diamonds are graded as colour F and clarity IF (Internally Flawless). They are being sold by a private vendor who purchased them from Graff in 2011 and are expected to fetch £15,000-20,000 [lot 362].
Jewels by other notable makers include a sapphire and diamond ‘Doppio Cuore’ necklace, ring, and ear clips by Bulgari, estimated at £20,000-30,000. The necklace is designed as a series of interlocking links, pavé-set with chevrons of brilliant-cut diamonds and leading to a frontispiece set with five untreated Sri Lankan sapphire cabochons, the ring and ear clips of conforming design [lot 346].
A stylish ruby, emerald and diamond set bracelet by Boucheron is estimated at £10,000-15,000. Designed as three rows of curved fancy-shaped links, the bracelet is set with brilliant-cut diamonds and spaced by collets of square-cut rubies or emeralds, signed ‘Boucheron’ [lot 283].
Also included in the sale is a two-row natural pearl necklace, expected to fetch £8,000-10,000, a family heirloom being sold by a private vendor. The two rows of graduated pearls measuring approximately 4.5-7.2mm, are separated by seed pearl spacers and set to a 19th century diamond cluster clasp [lot 295].
Elsewhere a Private Collection of 11 gold posy rings from a private Scottish collector includes a charming posy ring dating from circa 1600-1640. The broad band is decorated to the exterior with diagonal bands with ribbed beading between, the interior inscribed in capitals ‘I LIKE MY CHOIES’. It is expected to fetch £1,000-1,400 [lot 57].
