Richard Freeman, a merchant, married, firstly, Constance Smith on 12 January 1656, and secondly Matilda Parnell on 11 January 1658, by whom he had five sons and five daughters between 1660 and 1681. He donated 10 shillings towards the Free & Voluntary Present in 1661 and in the 1664 Hearth Tax returns was assessed at 5 hearths. When he died the administration of his estate was given to Samuel Moyle and Thomas Cossens, who were his principal creditors
