Cnut (1016-1035), Penny, Quatrefoil type [BMC VIII; BEH E], struck at Sudbury by Mansige, draped and crowned bust left within shallow quatrefoil, +cnvt rex angloi around, rev. voided long cross, deep quatrefoil as inner circle, +mansiig on sv around, 0.84g/9h (BEH –; FEJ –; N 781; S 1157). Very gentle curve to flan, otherwise almost extremely fine, a scarcer mint £500-£600
