Kings of Wessex, Alfred the Great, Third Coinage, Penny of the London Monogram type, struck by the moneyer Tilewine, draped and diademed bust right, the tunic divided into three panels, ælfr-ed rex around, rev. letters of Londonia formed into a monogram, flanked by crosses, tilevine above, moneta below, 1.49g/4h (MacKay B4 13.4-5, this coin; N 646; S 1062). Broken into four parts (carefully reaffixed), good fine, rare £1,000-£1,500
