Kings of Mercia, Burgred, Penny, Phase IIb [V4/A], struck by the moneyer Hussa, draped and diademed bust right, bvrgred rex m around, starting behind the king’s head, rev. mon / hvzza / eta in three lines, the upper and lower lines enclosed within lunettes, pellets 0/1/0/1, 1.28g/3h (MacKay V4 [not included within the corpus]; N 423; S 941B). Some light cleaning marks, otherwise almost extremely fine, well centred on a round flan £500-£700
