Kings of Mercia, Burgred, Penny, Phase III [H12/A], struck by the moneyer Cenred, draped and diademed bust right, bvrgred rex around, starting behind the king’s head, rev. mon / cenred / eta in three lines, upper and lower lines enclosed within lunettes, pellets 3/3/3/6, 1.01g/3h (MacKay H12.2 = BNJ 2004 Coin Register 152, this coin; N 423; S 942C). Some roughness, small perforation by edge, very fine £500-£600
