Kings of East Anglia, Eadmund (855-70), Penny, struck at Ipswich(?) by the moneyer Baeghelm, cross patée with pellet in each quarter, eadmvnd rex around, rev. cross patée with pellet in each angle, +baeγhelm m: around, 1.28g/12h (Naismith E61.3e = BNJ 2000 Coin Register 86, this coin; N 596; S 1044). Creased across centre, otherwise very fine, scarce £300-£400

Found as part of a small scattered hoard, discovered near Newmarket, Cambridgeshire c. 1996 (EMC 2001.0004); bt Granta Coins, Cambridge, 1997
