Kings of Mercia, Burgred, Penny, Phase III [V5/A], struck by the moneyer Diga, draped and diademed bust right with cross on central panel, +bvrgred rex around, starting behind the king’s head, rev. mon / +diga / eta, the upper and lower lines cointained within lunettes, 1.28g/8h (MacKay V5.95, this coin; N 423; S 942D). Good very fine, grey toned across a full flan £700-£900
