The Uniform Coinage of India, British Imperial Period, Victoria, silver Quarter-Rupee, 1880c, type C/II, Calcutta, crowned and robed bust left, victoria empress, flower at left of lowest jabot, v on bodice at centre, rev. 1/4 rupee above india and date, all within scroll-like wreath of Indian flora, incuse c on whorl in lowest floral ornament, tip of wreath to right of top flower spiky, edge grained, 2.91g/12h (Prid. 385 [Sale, lot 149]; SW 6.257; KM. 490; cf. Fore III, 2259). Mark on Queen’s cheek, otherwise very fine and very rare £1,500-£2,000
