3rd (King’s Own) Light Dragoons Senior NCOs Shako Plate c. 1857-61, a very fine and rare example in die stamped copper gilt featuring a crowned cross with hob nail panels the arms of the cross inscribed with battle honours, in the centre the unit title encloses the White Horse of Hanover and motto ‘Nec Aspera Terrent’ over ‘111’, complete with two original fasteners, the crown with some strengthening to the reverse otherwise in excellent condition £300-400
